Signing Up with iBet

The first thing we noticed during our iBet review was the darkened colour scheme. This looks professional, and helps to highlight certain elements in red, including the ‘Sign Up’ button.

In order to join the sportsbook or the online casino, simply follow these steps.

In order to join the sportsbook or the online casino, simply follow these steps.

  1. Click on the ‘Sign Up’ button at the top of the screen.

  2. Enter your name, email and phone number while also choosing a password. Click ‘Continue’.

  3. Enter your address and Date of Birth.

  4. If you are asked for verification, upload your driving licence or ID card.

  5. Choose your initial deposit amount and payment methods.

The initial process takes only a couple of minutes. For our iBet review, we chose to use the mobile site. Everything was easy to find, each part of the process was explained well, and we recommend that this is the way players go.

When your account is live, you’ll be able to opt into the deposit bonus.

iBet’s Welcome Offer

Get the %operator% bonus

You can get started on the iBet sportsbook with a deposit bonus as soon as you join. iBet markets the bonus as a “double your money” offer. Here’s how the bonus is set up.

  • 100% Welcome bonus is valid up to a maximum amount of NZ$400.
  • 18+, new players only
  • Wagering requirement 7x. More info below.
  • Minimum odds of the individual or combined betting slip must be 2.0 (1/1).
  • Deposit bonus is valid for 20 days upon registration.
  • A deposit made via Skrill or Neteller will not count.
  • Full terms and conditions apply.

There are some good parts to the sportsbook deposit bonus. The fact that Skrill and Neteller are excluded is pretty normal and is replicated by many online casino and gaming sites. $400 is a good amount for a sports bonus. The minimum odds are a little high, but as they count in a multiple bet too, it’s not so bad.

Having 20 days to play around with the site and find the right games to bet on is also generous, as many similar sports betting sites will only allow seven days from registration to grab the deal.

Wagering Requirements

Here, the wagering requirements are only 7x. This is a good number, as most similar online casino bonuses, for example, come with 30x, 40x or even 70x requirements.

7x is still large, however, if you’re claiming the maximum bonus amount. If you claim $400, you’ll need to wager $2800 in total before cashing out. Before you play, check with customer services to see how long they’ll give you to satisfy the terms.

We’d like to see much more here. Regardless of whether bonuses are for casino players or the sportsbook, we need more to entice us. The two deposit offers live, however, can be gained via mobile gaming, or on the main site online.

Betting Options

There are numerous bet options online with iBet. Whether gaming or sports is your thing, it seems likely you’ll find what you’re after.

Sports

Within the sportsbook, we found plenty of betting options in our iBet review. Some sports available to bet on are:

  • American football
  • Australian rules
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • eSports
  • Football
  • Ice hockey
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union

We see all the major sports, as well as some of the slightly quirkier ones. Within the list of sports, you’ll see a ton of individual games and tournaments. Furthermore, each of the games has plenty of submarkets offering even more betting options.

Live betting is available. Odds are fair by our reckoning and there is more than enough going on here to keep sports betting fans occupied.

Casino

If the casino is more your thing, there are plenty of games to play there too. Popular games available include:

  • Book of Dead
  • Valley of the Gods
  • Cheeky Fruits
  • Starburst
  • Book of Shadows

There are many more besides. When you play the games offered in the online casino, you’ll find the gaming quality is excellent. All games are produced by top developers.

It’s not just slots on offer either, but also online casino table games. Fans of classic games can play versions of:

  • Blackjack
  • Roulette
  • Hold’em
  • Baccarat

There is a separate, more valuable casino deposit bonus to help you make the most of your play. A live casino is also featured. The live casino features blackjack, roulette, baccarat and others with real dealers.

Mobile Betting

We found during our iBet review that the brand does understand the importance of mobile gaming. Whether you’re on the sportsbook, the casino or the live casino, you can play while you’re on the move.

Sign-ups, the bonus and all other features are available to the same standard via mobile as on the main online site. You can bet on sports live via mobile too. The mobile offering is optimised superbly to offer top-notch graphics, great sound and very smooth and satisfying gameplay. You can simply click on your iOS, Windows or Android browser to access everything online via smartphone or tablet.

The colour scheme is great and looks very professional. The fact that iBet have used a ‘mobile-first’ design is certainly a bonus as it comes through noticeably.

Payment Options

There is a good range of payment methods to choose from. They cover credit and debit cards, as well as bank transfers and eWallets. All payment methods are available in New Zealand dollars, meaning quicker pay outs and fast processing times. Currently, supported options for you to deposit and withdraw are:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Mifinity
  • Skrill
  • Neteller
  • Neosurf
  • Paysafecard
  • MuchBetter
  • Bank Transfer

The minimum deposit is $10. The maximum we found in our iBet review is $2000. Most withdrawal requests are processed immediately, though they could take a few days to reach your bank. eWallet payments are processed immediately. You can keep track of your account live online any time.

Extra Features

The basic premise here is that you can bet on either sports or online gaming. There is a little more on offer, however. During our review, we found:

  • Live Betting – Many sports are available to bet on live, including football and tennis.
  • Live Casino – Real dealers are used on many games within the excellent live casino.
  • Bet Builder – You can make up your own multiple bet online. Most sports are included. Simply click on any of the submarkets and add in correct scores, goal scorers, total goals etc.
  • Price Boost – Personalised price boosts are available on certain games and sports when you log in.
  • Stats and Live Score – To help you along, full statistics and live scores are available from sports games around the world.

From the minute you deposit at iBet, you can use any of these features. We love all live elements, so given that both sports and casino have live betting available is a great plus. The bet builder was until recently the domain of the larger sports betting brands. We found it in our review too though, meaning you can choose your own bets and get unique odds.

Price boosts are also a positive. In this case, they are personalised. You won’t necessarily find set price boosts, but once you log in and click on a game or a race, you may find that your odds can be boosted on certain selections which we love.

Customer Service

Assistance is available at iBet, but not necessarily all the time. There is a Help Centre online which will answer the most common questions. You can look at that whenever you want, but if you have a more urgent query you may have to wait which isn’t ideal.

The Live Chat function is available, which is good, however, support agents are only available from 11AM to midnight. Given that sporting events are taking place all around the world, 24 hours a day, and many slots players are also online during the night, we’d much prefer to see some access to operators all day.

When we did get in touch, we at least found during our iBet review that customer service agents were at the level we hoped. Queries were answered quickly with most being dealt with in just a few minutes via live chat. There are two sides to a good ‘level’ of service. One side, how knowledgeable and friendly the staff are, is great here. The other however is availability which frankly is not good enough.

Security

We had no worries about security at any point in our iBet review. iBet is licensed in Malta by the MGA, so is fully regulated. Full encryption is used here. That keeps your personal data, and of course your money, very safe and secure. There are also up-to-date privacy and responsible gambling policies on the site.

These are important as, when you dig deep, they tend to tell you how serious a brand really is about security. iBet hasn’t left very many stones unturned in that regard which was pleasing to find out. You can bet here safely from New Zealand for sure.

iBet Review Conclusion

As with all sportsbooks and online casinos, there were undoubted positives and negatives about iBet. The sign-up procedure is very fast and simple, with mobile being an easy option. From there, a welcome bonus is offered and this too is of sufficient value for sports betting customers.

There is a fine choice of betting options for both sports and casino players, along with all bonuses and other features are also accessible via a pretty slick mobile betting site. Most common payment methods are included, though you should remember that if you are taking the welcome bonus then any deposits made via Skrill or Neteller will not count.

There may be a little more work to do, but for now, iBet is a fine option for those looking to swap between sports betting and slots.
